I have teamed up with the guys at Smuggler's and can offer a return for £12pp (£4 off normal price), minimum 4 passengers (or £48) maximium 8. Leaving St. Mawes at 1830, leaving Smuggler's at 2130. On Friday and Sunday evenings from June.

You may know that the running of Smuggler's Cottage has now been taken over by the Tregothnan Estate. They have embarked on a full programme of refurbishment of the cottage and grounds. Smuggler's Cottage is steeped in Maritime History. It was a major embarkation point for American Troops leaving for the D Day Landings in WW II and evidence of this period in the cottage's history is all around. The area has also "starred" in many films and TV series; notably "Poldark", "Wycliff", "Treasure Island" and numerous adaptations of Daphne Du Maurier novels.

Today the cottage is fully licensed and boasts an excellent menu prepared by head chef Carl (formerly of Jamie Oliver's 15 Restaurant). On a balmy night dine al fresco overlooking the beautiful setting with the stark contrast of the big ships that are slumbering just a stone's throw away, awaiting their fate. It really is quite a magical place.

Combine all this with a half hour boat trip before and after your visit to Smuggler's aboard "Paramour". As we blast down the Carrick Roads and then proceed at a more leisurely pace along the beautiful River Fal. Bookings in advance only, call or email.
