Well, what a great day it is here. Have a look at the couple of photos I've just uploaded and you'll see.
Bluebird is anchored in the harbour. She was built in 1938 for Sir. Malcolm Campbell to fulfill his dream of treasure hunting voyages across the Atlantic . Not long after her completion she was requisitioned and was used to evacuate troops from Dunkirk.
After the war she was sold to Jean Louis Renault the French car maker. She changed hands twice more before being bought by her current owners, and had a complete refit in 2007, being restored to her former glory. She looks fine in the harbour, particularly on a day like today. Her home port is St. Tropez and she can be chartered for Med cruises all year round.
This Sunday the 23rd. the Falmouth Divers will again be on the slipway demonstrating various historic diving equipment. It's always very intersesting and, if you're brave enough, you can even have a go! Come down from about 1300 on Sunday afternoon. Should be a great day for kayaking or a trip on the boat too. Call or email to book.
See you soon, Mark.
